PROPOSALS to develop greenbelt’s valuable agricultural land needs careful consideration before planning permission is given the go ahead.
With the population growing we must act responsibly towards our future generations.
Brownfield sites are standing idle and in urgent need of regeneration often with many of the utility services already available, and they should be explored to the full.
Greenbelt areas must be preserved to provide food for the future.
We must be mindful of the fact that our food does not grow on supermarket shelves and without farmland they will soon be empty.
