THUNDERSTORMS have reached North Yorkshire tonight from the west but weakened as they crossed through the Ripon and Thirsk area.
Storms have caused torrential rain, flooding and lightning strikes elsewhere in the country but North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said at 11.45pm that it had not received any calls out to flooding incidents.
