THE class of 2017 thought outside the box when it came to putting on the Ritz for their prom.
Instead of the usual stretch limousines and double decker buses, the Year 11 students from Tadcaster Grammar School preferred more down to earth transport when they gathered for their farewell evening.
Three tractors, one of them driven by a student, plus a campervan were among the chosen vehicles.
Other students preferred open top sports cars.
One group of students made sure everyone knew where they were heading with a personalised number plate.
Whatever their chosen means of transport the girls still donned long dresses fit for the red carpet.
Their escorts were picture perfect in evening suits and other formal wear for their big celebration at Toulston Lodge Hall.
They gathered for a group photograph on the law to mark their end of their time together at the school before making their way into a grand marquee erected outside the hall’s building.
Inside the flower arrangements and balloons were co-ordinated in a world of rose, gold and black.
The students had the chance to admire the Class of 2017 cake made by Happy Tiers Yorkshire of Stamford Bridge before dancing the night away at a disco.
