A MAN has been rescued from the River Ouse in York early this morning.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service's York boat crew and crews from Acomb Fire Station were called to reports of a man in the river at about 1am. They were joined by police officers.
The crews rescued the man from the water using a boat.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Officers responded to concerns for the safety of a man in the Ouse Bridge area.
"He briefly entered the water but was rescued by firefighters within seconds. He was uninjured and received medical attention, including mental health support."
