A MAN and a woman were taken to hospital after suffering suspected carbon monoxide poisoning at a property in East Yorkshire this morning.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the property in Harrington Road, Bridlington, at 4.55am after a carbon monoxide alarm was activated.
Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said this was due to a barbeque and chimnea being brought inside the property.
A spokesman for the fire service added: "Gas detection in use. One adult female and one adult male suffering affects of carbon monoxide. Oxygen therapy administered by fire service. Casualties transported to hospital via ambulance."
