HELMSLEY Walled Garden is hosting a course in Creativity and Mindfulness next weekend.
The courses will be run by Dr Lauri Bower, of York MBSR, and Helmsley Walled Garden’s artist-in-residence Clare Belbin on Saturday, June 17 and Sunday, June 18, from 9.30am to 4.40pm. Participants can book for Saturday only or both days. There is also a longer course running for eight weeks starting on September 26.
Courses are open to all, no experience is needed and all levels of creativity are welcome.
Dr Bower said: “These courses are suitable for anyone who wishes to explore mindfulness as a fresh approach to creativity. Tuition is provided in mindfulness as well as the craft skills of drawing and poetry.”
Tricia Harris, marketing manager at Helmsley Walled Garden, said: “We are delighted to be the setting for these special courses here at Helmsley Walled Garden. Dr Bower and Clare Belbin have created a unique way of looking at creativity that simply did not exist before. We hope that people will feel inspired to explore and develop their creativity in this very special garden.”
