SOARING temperatures and sunshine are set to make it a great weekend for barbecues, camping and sunbathing in York and North Yorkshire.
The Met Office expects almost wall-to-wall sunshine tomorrow in York after early cloud clears away, with a maximum temperature of 25C, or 77F.
It should be almost as warm on the beach at Scarborough, with just a light south-westerly breeze.
Sunday should be a tad warmer still, with temperatures reaching 26C, or 79F, in York, and just a degree or so lower on the coast.
Monday looks set to be another very warm day, but with the risk of an isolated thunderstorm later, with Tuesday much cooler and a maximum of only 18C.
