CANADIAN comedian Katherine Ryan and political satirist Jonathan Pie are to play York Barbican on September 29 and February 28 respectively.
Ryan, who describes herself as a single mother with too many pets, will be on her Glitter Room tour, her first since her two Kathbum tours, when she made her Barbican debut in January 2016 after playing The Duchess three times in 2015, presenting her Glam Role Model show.
Jonathan Pie’s frustrated news reporter will become “angrier than ever” in his new show Back To The Studio. The man Rory Bremner calls “the most exciting satirical creation since Alan Partridge” will attempt to host serious discussions on current affairs while simultaneously striving to smash the system from within, as he invites you to join him for “a night of political comedy that soon descends into chaos”.
