TWO dogs had to be rescued after getting into tight spots.
The hapless canines both needed help from the emergency services after becoming trapped in railings in separate incidents over the weekend.
First to need help was Ruby, a Yorkshire terrier, who got stuck about 11am on Saturday.
It was trying to go through a set of gate railings on Station Road, Tadcaster.
The town’s firefighters rescued it using some hydraulic spreaders and Ruby was reported to be fine.
Just over 24 hours later, a second dog got trapped in railings on High Street, Whixley, north of York.
Knaresborough firefighters used hydraulic spreaders to free it and the dog was said to be unhurt.
