POLICE want to speak to this man in connection with a racially aggravated attack in York.

North Yorkshire Police said a 27-year-old Asian man was verbally and physically abused in Blossom Street in what they considered a racially aggravated incident.

A spokeswoman for the force said the incident happened at about 8pm on Saturday, March 4, but the CCTV image has only just been made available.

The suspect was described as white and wearing a blue long sleeved top at the time.

Anyone who recognises the man, or has information which could help police is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option two, and ask for Nicola Manning.
