A FIREFIGHTER climbed to a second floor window in York city centre after a fire alarm went off today- only to discover it was a false alarm caused by vaping.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said crews were sent to Margaret Philipson Court, Aldwark, at 4pm today after a fire alarm sounded, but it emerged the alarm was due to someone using an e-cigarette.
