A POLICE officer has handed over a cheque for more than £5,000 to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Sergeant Paul Cording, from North Yorkshire Police's Road Policing Group, ran the London Marathon last month in support of the charity, and had been hoping to raise £500.
This week, he handed over a cheque for £5,595 to the air ambulance, and thanked everyone who sponsored him for the marathon, which he completed in four hours, 53 minutes and 45 seconds.
