THE former Labour MP for Selby is standing for election in Keighley.

John Grogan represented Selby from 1997, but stood down before boundary changes came into force in 2010.

It has now been confirmed he will fight the Keighley seat for the second time. In 2015, Mr Grogan came second to the current Conservative MP Kris Hopkins, losing out by around 3,000 votes.

Mr Grogan said it was a “great privilege and honour” to fly the flag for Labour in the consistency for the second time.
