I’D just like to personally thank Ian Donaghy and the rest of the A Night To Remember team for yet another fantastic event.

The number of people involved, and giving their time for free, is staggering.

The money raised will make such a big difference, not only to St Leonard’s Hospice, but to York as a community. We are extremely grateful for the support.

It was a wonderful surprise to see Anton du Beke at the start and the eclectic mixture of musical genres and talents drew a wide audience demographic and made sure everyone had their feet tapping and left York Barbican smiling.

I really appreciated the visual endorsement of the impact of the Hospice on the local community when Ian asked those in the audience who have been touched by the Hospice to stand up – there was hardly anyone left seated.

So a huge thank you again to Ian and the team.

This is a great example of York helping York and it really was a night to remember.
