POLICE are looking for a man who allegedly tried to steal items from a number of women in York city centre.
North Yorkshire Police said the incidents took place around the Exhibition Square and Clarence Street area of York between 10pm and 10.30pm on Tuesday.
The suspect is described as mixed race, in his early 20’s, with hair that had a shaved line down the side. He was wearing a black tracksuit with white stripes.
Police are conducting inquiries and are asking for any information from the public.
