TELEVISION funnyman Jason Manford has announced he will perform a standup show in York.
Manford, who hosted Live At The Apollo, and has appeared on Have I Got News For You and 8 Out Of 10 Cats, will bring his latest standup show to York Barbican next year.
The show, entitled Muddle Class, looks at Manford’s working class roots, before realising he has, over the years, become middle class.
He said: “Somebody said to me on my Facebook fan page, ‘it’s been ages since you’ve toured’. I thought ‘no way, it was last year wasn’t it? Anyway, long story short, they were right, it was years ago. I just got fooled cos I’ve been on tour doing musicals and the last tour is repeated on Dave ja Vu 13 times a day.
“I’ve been putting some stuff together, looking at my life and how it’s changed over the years, how the world has changed and how my parents haven’t changed a bit! It’s going to be a great tour.” Tickets for the show, which comes to York on Thursday, February 8, 2018, go on sale on Friday, April 21 and cost £30.80 online, at the venue, or on 0844 8542757.
