A YORK hospice is gearing up for its annual plant sale.
Plants have been donated to St Leonard’s Hospice by garden centres and the celebrated York flower arranger George Smith.
Mr Smith received an MBE for services to flower arranging in 2004, and his famous York garden at Manor House, Heslington, is renowned for its collection of roses, irises, poppies and variety of plants including hosta, ferns and decorative grasses.
The donated plants will be available to buy at the Plant Sale on Sunday, May 21, in the Hospice, on Tadcaster Road, from 11am to 2pm.
