A DEN built in a York woodland has beenn destroyed by a fire.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said the make-shift den, which was complete with decking and chairs, had been created in the Shipton Road area of Rawcliffe.
A spokesman said firefighters from Acomb tackled the blaze yesterday afternoon, which was believed to have been accidental and spread from a bonfire. "The whole of the den was destroyed by fire," he said..
