A WEASEL belonging to wildlife artist Robert E Fuller, which he took in as a tiny kit after it was found abandoned in York, is set to steal the show on BBC’s The One Show.
The one-year-old, found abandoned in Walmgate Stray, will feature in a short clip due to be shown to an average of five million viewers at 7pm today.
The clip shows the weasel, named Fidget, scampering about the artist’s gallery in Thixendale, North Yorkshire, and completing an agility course.
Mr Fuller said: “I ended up building him a complicated course above my easel which worked out well because it also meant I could watch him test his strength and dexterity and photograph his muscles moving for background studies for future paintings.” The One Show crew filmed Fidget completing a Perspex maze in Mr Fuller’s studio. Today’s show won’t be Fidget’s first TV appearance. At just four weeks he appeared on BBC’s Look North.
