POLICE are investigating after a man made sexual advances to a woman from a moving car in Acomb.
The incident happened in Tennent Road at about 10am on Tuesday (MAR 28), when a man in his thirties driving a dark blue Vauxhall Astra drove alongside a woman.
He asked where she was going, then demanded she get inside his car and stated he wanted sex. The women ran off into an alleyway off Tennent Road but the man in the vehicle found her and approached her again.
The woman ran away again, and approached a member of the public for help, at which point the suspect drove off.
North Yorkshire Police want to hear from anyone who saw the incident, or who recognises the car or the man.
The driver was described as having stocky shoulders, of medium build with olive skin and facial stubble. He was wearing a black t-shirt with writing on and had a dark coloured cap on in army colours, and spoke with a Yorkshire accent.
