AN appeal has been launched to collect Easter eggs for disadvantaged local children.
Monks Cross Shopping Park in York is collecting as many Easter eggs as possible until this Sunday.
These will then be distributed to local families just in time for Easter. To take part, simply drop off whatever Easter gift you can spare to Monks Cross Shopping Park’s Information Centre, which is next to New Look. Katherine Sharp, centre manager, said: “We want as many children as possible to enjoy the celebrations. Hopefully this year, more children will have a day to remember.”
