A FAMILY of five were rescued from a river in North Yorkshire on Saturday.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Waterside in Knaresborough at about 5pm on Saturday.
A spokeswoman for the fire service said crews from Knaresborough and Harrogate were sent to help the family from the River Nidd after their dinghy capsized.
All five were rescued by members of the public prior to the arrival of fire crews. They were checked at the scene by paramedics.
