A YORK attraction is about the celebrate its fifth birthday with a special day of cut-price entry for visitors.
York's Chocolate Story turns five on Friday, March 31, and will be marking the day with balloons cake - chocolate of course - and £5 entry all day.
The attraction opened in 2012 as a visitor experience to showcase York’s unique chocolate history, and since has welcomed celebrities, royalty and hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world.
General Manager Andrew Turner said: "It is a great time to be part of this wonderful attraction. In just five short years we have gone from strength to strength and have a lot to celebrate now we are one of York’s top visitor attractions."
In the past half-decade the attraction has also hosted successful exhibits such as Chocolate on the Home Front which explored the significant role the cities factories played in the First World War, Chocolate and the People of York, and this year’s exhibition 250 Years of Terry’s.
