SUV badly damaged in suspected arson attack
A SUZUKI Vitara has been badly damaged in a suspected arson attack in York early today.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said York firefighters responded to several calls at 2.37am to go to Hewley Avenue, Tang Hall, to attend to the SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle), which was well alight.
A hosereel jet was used to put it out but the vehicle was extensively damaged. "The vehicle is believed to have been set alight deliberately," said a spokeswoman.
