RESIDENTS in Foxwood have given their neighbourhood a spring clean.
With daylight hours lengthening and warmer weather on the way, families picked up litter and tidied up the community.
The "walk the bounds" route included Bellhouse Way, Thanet Road, Foxwood Lane, Tedder Road, Askham Lane and Foxwood Lane.
Members of the public also turned their attention to cleaning up Foxwood Park.
Shirley Gumley, chairwoman of Foxwood Residents Association, said: "We went all the way round Foxwood and I'm shattered!
"I've never seen so much rubbish and junk about.
"It was really bad on the field near the rugby club, and people must be walking home from bars and throwing bottles and can into the bushes.
"But we enjoyed it and got a lot done."
