IN REPLY to Mrs Carter’s letter (The Press, February 16) about the appalling state of the grass verges, time and time again myself and neighbours have complained to the council, The Press and our own councillors about grass verges.
I’ve never come across such a mess as there is in Huntington.
I appreciate we have shops nearby, but I’ve been told there’s parking at Orchard Park.
Why are people so lazy as to park as near as they can on our verges? It beggars belief.
How do we stop people parking on our grass verges?
My suggestion is to put wooden stakes in like they have nearby, but I have been told that is illegal.
What’s the answer? Suggestions please.
