FIREFIGHTERS tackled a van fire this morning, which is believed to be the third arson attack on a vehicle in or near Selby in the past fortnight.
Firefighters were called to the fire near Barlow at about 2.45am.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters believed the fire was "deliberate."
It comes after two car fires in or near Selby last week, which are both believed to have been started deliberately.
A Volkswagen Passat was torched and destroyed by arsonists in D'Arcy Road, Selby, on February 15.
Two days before this, a Volvo S40 was also destroyed after an arson attack. It happened on a riverbank near the A19 at Chapel Haddlesey.
