SELBY Lions Club Young Ambassador, 16-year-old Leah Stott, has qualified for the national finals of the ambassador of the year, to be held later this month.

Leah, who lives in Holme on Spalding Moor, won her way into the final and is all set for what she describes as “a trip of a lifetime”, to Johannesburg, where she will work with the Botshabelo charity.

If she wins the final, she will receive £1,000, and has already got £500 for her success in the district competition, and the Selby Lions have presented her with £200 – all of which will help with her community work.
