A FUNDRAISER to remember a five-month-old baby girl who died a year ago today will take place this Sunday.
Money will be raised for York Hospital’s A&E department at the York Railway Institute Sports Club, New Lane, from 11am to 5pm, a year after Oceon Adams passed away.
Mum Becky Adams, 30, woke up in the middle of the night on February 17 last year to check on baby Oceon, but found she was not breathing.
Miss Adams, who grew up in Tang Hall, was visiting a friend in York when the tragedy unfolded.
The tot was taken to York Hospital but despite the best efforts of hospital staff she could not be saved.
The family fun day includes children’s mascots, a tombola, raffle, disco and refreshments.
A service will take place from 9.30am at St George’s Church, in Walmgate, York, to mark one year since Oceon’s death.
