NOMINATIONS are open for an awards scheme that recognises people and businesses who make a difference to life in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
The council’s Chairman’s Awards are presented to individuals and businesses that have helped improve the area over the last year, and people are being urged to nominate those who they think deserve recognition.
There are five categories in the awards - community, built heritage, environment, business, and sports. The awards will be presented by chairman of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Councillor John Dennis, in what will be his last engagement in his year as chairman.
For more information go to www.eastriding.gov.uk/chairmansawards, email chairmans.awards@eastriding.gov.uk or contact Sarah Asquith on 01482 393260. The closing date for nominations is January 31.
