A 24-YEAR-OLD woman who lost her father to a heart attack is taking on a 13.1 mile-long challenge for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

Harriet Mackie is taking part in the the charity’s Harewood House Half Marathon on February 26 to mark the tenth anniversary of her father Iain Mackie's death.

Harriet said: “My dad died when he was just 51-years-old and I want to do as much as I can to help stop such a tragedy happening to someone else. The run will be tough, but I’m really looking forward to the big day.”

Entry fees for the half marathon are £30 until January and entry is open to over 17s only.

The entry fee for the 10k is £24 and is open to over 16s.
