A YORK man has fulfilled a long-held ambition by writing his first children’s book.
John Craft, 45, of Burton Stone Lane, Clifton has produced a poetry book called Fruit and Vegetable Fun for children aged from three-years-old.
The book is about 10 fruit and vegetable characters, and what they get up to when left on the allotment.
John, who works as an assistant practitioner for Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS), started writing the book last October and is “over the moon” with how it has turned out.
He said: “I am already in the process of writing a short, adventure story for children aged 8-11. I am also planning on making a series of books with the same characters as Fruit and Vegetable Fun.” The book was illustrated by his one of his colleagues - Jade Clarke - an emergency care assistant with YAS. It is available online at amazon.co.uk or as an e-book at blurb.co.uk
