OF course, Lib Dem leader Tim Farron is doing everything he can to delay our exit from the EU.

He sees political gains for his party if the final exit can be delayed until 2020 when Brexit could be used as a general election tactic.

His recent surge in by-elections has convinced him that he can hoover up millions of normally opposition voters who will support him because they voted Remain.

This could well happen, apart from the fact that by March 2019 we will be out of the EU, with no turning back.

The Labour and Conservative parties know it is in their own electoral interests to keep to the exit timetable now in place.

Nice try Farron. Enjoy your transient moments of success, but the big boys won’t let your game plan on the pitch.
