YOUNGSTERS showed off their colouring skills and won the chance to meet Father Christmas in Selby.
Santa arrived at Selby Garden Centre on a specially decorated bus from Thornes independent coaches, based near Selby.
He and 30 local school children enjoyed a drive around the town before opening Santa’s Grotto at the garden centre.
The children were all winners of a colouring competition that 10 schools and 2,000 children took part in.
The overall winner was Patryk Zep from St Mary’s Primary School, in Brayton, who got to open the grotto for Santa.
Schools that took part will receive a free Christmas tree worth £40 each.
