THE Autumn Statement has given us growth forecasts for the next five years which we know at best are an uneducated guess, but more probably done with a wet finger braced against the wind.
No doubt in six months time at the next statement there will be a completely different set of figures.
Earlier this year, at one year old, my youngest grandson Charlie was given a growth forecast that he will be 6ft 6ins at maturity.
This is one forecast I totally believe given the height of both his parents.
It’s no wonder that our little munchkin has been nicknamed “Chunk” from a very early age.
The moral is, trust what the medical profession tell us, but never trust politicians.
