THE owner of a Malton shop is appealing for the return of a miniature saddle which is of 'great sentimental value'.
Sylvia Milson, from Parnaby's in Wheelgate, said the saddle was taken from the shop last Friday or Saturday.
"It is on display in the shop and is not for sale as it is of great sentimental value to me," she added,
"The saddle was made in Walsall and is a marvellous apprentice piece, one of the smallest saddle you’ll ever find."
Sylvia said the saddle had been in the shop for over 30 years.
"It is no good to anyone else and with the business now for sale it is one of the few things from the shop I wanted to take with me," she added.
"At first I was very angry but now all I want is the saddle back. I don't mind if someone leaves it outside the door, I just want it back."
