A FRAUDSTER took money from a resident in Barlby near Selby.

North Yorkshire Police said a man in his twenties driving a black flat bed truck trading under the name Top Grade Roofing Specialist visited a property in Derwent Drive at about midday last Saturday.

A spokesman said a resident gave the man money in agreement to him carrying out work, but they never returned.

Detectives want to speak to anyone who has seen the vehicle, or fallen victim to a similar scam.
