DROP-IN events will be held for residents of Dringhouses and Copmanthorpe to find out more about work being carried out by Network Rail.

As part of the TransPennine Route Upgrade Network Rail will remove vegetation from the side of the railway to protect the existing overhead lines which carry the power for electric trains.

York Press:

The first event will take place on Monday, November 28, at Copmanthorpe Methodist Church in Main Street, between 4pm and 7pm, while the Dringhouses event will be held on Tuesday, November 29, at St Edward the Confessor Church Hall in Tadcaster Road, between 4pm and 7pm.

Both events will be attended by representatives from Network Rail and contractor QTS, and will include presentations at 5pm and 6pm.
