A SENIOR figure form the Church of the Latter Day Saints has visited York, to meet congregations and other faith leaders.
Russell Nelson, a renowned cardiologist and a senior figure in the Mormon Church who is next in line to lead it globally, was in York on October 23 and spoke to an audience of 800 at a special conference, which included music from a York choir.
Other Church leaders present included Elder Patrick Kieron - who leads the Church of the Latter Day Saints in Europe - and his wife, Sister Jennifer Kieron.
