THE next Carers’ Café is being held in York this week.
York Carers’ Centre organises the get-togethers at the Spurriergate Centre.
The next event will be held on Wednesday from 10am to 11.30am.
It is intended for people who care for a friend or relative. The person they care for is also welcome.
A spokesperson for York Carers’ Centre said: “Please come along and enjoy a free drink and teacake and an opportunity to meet other carers.
“You can bring the person you care for if you wish and there’s no need to book.
“The Spurriergate Centre is wheelchair accessible.”
The centre is also running an advice line on Wednesday evenings for advice about “your caring role or the person you care for”. You can call 01904 715490 between 5pm to 8pm on Wednesdays.
