MUSICIANS are wanted to help volunteers raise money for charity.
The Malton & Norton Lions club has about 40 members who organise fundraising and social events for a variety of causes, and annually hires a coach on the North Yorkshire Moor Steam Railway, to take members of Ryedale Special Families, which supports children and young adults with special needs, from Pickering to Whitby.
Organisers provide a packed lunch for all, and the children and adults sing and play instruments together.
But this year the team have not been able to find a musician or guitarist. The musician does not need a large repertoire.
The train departs Pickering on Sunday, October 9, at about 11am and returns to Pickering at about 4pm. The Lions can arrange transport for the volunteer musician, will provide lunch and even pay a fee.
For details or to volunteer, phone Nick Simpson on 01944 758047 or 07946 315721, or visit the Malton & Norton Lions website or Facebook page.
