A BAR in York city centre will reopen on Friday following a £380,000 refurbishment.

The Slug and Lettuce in Low Ousegate has been overhauled, to include new cocktail masterclass stations.

Bosses at the bar chain say ten new jobs have been created.

Jo Wray, general manager of the branch, said: “We can’t wait to welcome our customers back to the venue and hear what they think about our refurb."

The reopening follows the introduction of the new expanded menu, a new children's menu, and an expanded cocktail list.
