FORMER York Minster choristers have returned to the city for a reunion.
They enjoyed a lunch at the York Minster Song School and an illustrated talk about the restoration of the East Window, by Sarah Brown, director of the York Glaziers’ Trust.
The former choristers joined the current choir to sing Evensong in the Minster, and a cheque for £2,500 for the Minster was presented by Mike Backhouse, chairman of the York Minster Choristers Association, on behalf of the Francis Jackson Choral Fund, towards the annual cost of a chorister in the Minster Choir.
