A DATE has been set for a judicial review into the fracking in Ryedale.
Campaigners have welcomed the announcement of a date for a court hearing into fracking which will be held on November 22 and 23, at the High Court in London.
Fracking company Third Energy were granted permission by North Yorkshire County Council to frack in Kirby Misperton, near Malton, in May, but aspects of the decision are being challenged by Frack-Free Ryedale and Friends of the Earth, who are both represented by Leigh Day solicitors.
The judge will decide whether the county council properly took into account the likely impact on climate change.
