THIS bird's eye view shows the work progressing at York's newest city-centre housing project.
Developers are building six four-storey town houses in the old car park of the former Lord Nelson public house in Walmgate, which has more recently been offices.
The pub building itself is being turned into two terraced houses, as part of the same development, with the original facade retained.
Press photographer Frank Dwyer captured the photo above on Tuesday from the top of St Denys Church in Walmgate. Piccadilly and the former Reynards garage site can be seen to the left.
The project is led by property developer Northminster Ltd, and work is being done by Woodhouse-Barry (Construction) Ltd and LHL Group.
Northminster has said the homes should will have parking, roof terraces and gardens, so should appeal to families as well as others seeking city-centre living.
