York to host charity swing concert
A HIT fundraising concert is set to swing into action in York.
The third York Swings Against Cancer concert will feature live music from the Sam Johnson Big Band, who will perform classics from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and modern numbers.
The show is in aid of York Against Cancer and is on September 25 from 7pm at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre, in Haxby Road.
Ian and Martin hope it will prove even more successful than last year’s event, which raised more than £2,500.
