Next phase of A1079 works to start next week
THE next stage of £1.6million improvement works for the A1079 near Market Weighton will start later this month.
The York-bound section of the Hayton dual carriageway will be resurfaced over three weeks from Tuesday, August 30.
The westbound carriageway will be closed and traffic diverted along the other carriageway with a 30mph speed limit.
During that time Thorpe-le-Street - the road to Everingham - will be closed and a diversion will be in place. More night-time resurfacing will take place between September 12 and 16, and night-time works will also be carried out on Shiptonthorpe roundabout during the week of 12 September.
