THE man who died in a crash just south of York last weekend has been named by police.
He was Charles Boyd Mason, 34, from Newton on Ouse.
He died when his yellow MG Midget left the road in Intake Lane at Acaster Malbis at about 11.35am on Sunday 14 August.
Nobody else was in the car and no other vehicles were involved.
Police had initially said the man was from the Hovingham area, but said today he was in fact from Newton on Ouse.
An inquest was opened and adjourned on Wednesday.
