RUNNERS wanting to take part in a charity road race which starts and finishes in York can now sign up to the event.

The Plusnet Yorkshire 10 Mile, which sold out in 2015, is expected to be hugely popular once more.

Starting and finishing at the University of York, the event will take place alongside the Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon on October 9 and take in a section of the attractive 26.2 mile course.

The 10 mile entrants will get to soak up the unique atmosphere and enjoy the support of the large and enthusiastic crowds that have become such a feature of the marathon since its launch in 2013.

Would-be runners should go to www.theyorkshiremarathon.com, and are urged to move fast to secure their place. People taking part in the Plusnet Yorkshire 10 Mile can raise money for a cause of their own choice or for one of the event’s partner charities.
