VISITORS to The York Dungeon can immerse themselves in a bloody Viking battle in a brand new interactive show.

With Vengeance of the Vikings, guests can learn about the torturous techniques used on Saxons.

The attraction has been revamped, after being damaged in last December's flooding.

Also at the popular attraction, guests are taken on an expedition through 2,000 years of dark and murky York history.

Visitors can head to the depths of Castle Prison and listen to the tale of notorious highwayman, Dick Turpin, renowned for his countless crimes committed between London and York. They will come face to face with York's notorious son, Guy Fawkes, and find out how his plot was foiled and what happened to this gunpowder plotter when he was caught.

Visitors will be taken through 12 live interactive shows and are put to the test by the witches, torturer, courtroom judge and plague doctor.
